And with more number of options the higher the chances of being duped. So before you splurge on that intoxicating piece of leather, look for the signs that can save you from buying a fake bag.

Look for the right tools: Check out for the zippers, the handle, the clasps and the inside zippers as well. All should be of the same color and finish. Also these zippers should close and open swiftly and easily, without the inner fabric of the bag coming in between the zip. Make sure that the clasps present in the handle of the bags have the same finish.

Look for the logo: The next important point to keep in mind is the logo. Make sure that the logo is spelled correctly. The logo should be straight and in place. Any engraving or embossing should be tidy and accurate. If you are having the instruction book along with the bag, make sure there aren't any spelling errors in them.

Stitch and the fabrics: Make sure that the leather used in the leather bag smells like leather and not like rubber or chemicals. Also the inner stitch of the bag should be neat and the inner as well as outer lining of the bag and its handles must be coherent.

Price variations: Check out for the price variation. If there is a vast difference between the original quoted price and the ones that you are getting on a website, then the chances are higher that you are being handed a fake bag.
